Partnership with BDC

Clarion Security is pleased to offer security services to two non-profits making a difference in some of the impoverished neighborhoods of Memphis, TN. We believe in these organizations and the difference they are making in the community.

The mission of the Binghampton Development Corporation (BDC) is to improve the quality of life in Binghampton. As a community oriented and faith-based non-profit, the BDC is working to be an instrument of God's love to reach those in economic oppression after the model of his Son, Jesus Christ.

Their holistic ministry model includes property development, housing counseling, community building, the urban farm, early childhood and parent education and support of the Cornerstone school. The BDC finds its mandate for outreach efforts in the "true fast" outlined in Isaiah 58 and claims God's promise as our enabling sufficient power.

As a non-profit Christian camp, SOS hosts volunteers throughout the year to work with inner city homeowners to make homes warmer, safer and drier in the name of Christ. SOS hosts nearly 2,000 volunteers a year to participate in one of our two camps: SOS (Binghampton) – Spring Camps for college students, Summer Camps for junior and senior high students, and groups of any age during our Fall Work Days; and SOS114 (Orange Mound) – Summer Camps for junior and senior high students. SOS is able to offer free home repairs to qualified homeowners. Volunteers and homeowners work together to strip and shingle roofs, replace rotten floors and leaky plumbing, repair damaged sheetrock, scrape and paint siding, and repair a host of other needs. We do all of this as a means to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed.
